I've stumbled upon this usermag article. This is Nazi content on substack, without a doubt. And I don’t like it, so I am moving away from the platform.
It's one thing to provide a platform without moderation. But substack has some moderation rules in place. Apparently, this case is not covered. And yes, the blog in question responsible for that notification is alive and well as of 09.09.2025. I don’t want to be on a platform that allows this.
Remember the nazi bar story - these trends don’t trend to improve. If you dare to invoke tolerance as a counterargument, just don’t. It is not possible to tolerate a view that has zero tolerance in it by design. No, I will not explain further.
Packing Up
I have the means and I am moving. And since I have more confidence in my self-hosting abilities, I am going self-hosted. Here’s the site in progress, any feedback is welcome, I hope to finalize it soon. Originally I thought to have the lessons learned in the same post, but now I’ve decided to split into two posts - one here and both on the new site.
Oh, and don’t worry dear subscriber, I’m migrating the emails, so nothing should be lost (including the unsubscribe feature). I’ll be also keeping the domain intact, but redirected to the new site.
